What Happens When You Mix 80 Content Creators + A Closed-To-The-Public Nordic Spa {Client Case-Study}
Because any chance we get to talk spa, we do. And because these golden, glowing Fall days are taking us right back to this late-September day, when we put together over 80 content creators and a 100% private, closed-to-the-public Nordic spa.
Here, we’re digging into the Paper Road archives to bring you a snapshot of a private client media event, organized by our team for Kananaskis Nordic Spa.
The date was September 25, 2019. The invite was for one day only; come and enjoy the entire Kananaskis Nordic Spa space of hot, warm and cold pools, saunas, steam cabins and Two Trees Bistro {yes, there were mimosas}; forgo the usual no-phones, no-cameras policy, freely capture + publish content to your heart’s desire, and enjoy!
The guest list had been made from a selection of homegrown, Alberta-based content creators and social influencers. The guests arrived, roped up into their Kananaskis Nordic Spa signature red tartan, gathered in the spa lounge and enjoyed a glass of morning fizz along with some breakfast goodies, and got set to start their hydrotherapy experience.
The sun was shining, the guests were smiling, the wellness vibes – and the social media posts, stories, and mentions - were flowing. To complement the content from this first-time spa event, the Paper Road team commissioned specialist underwater photographer, Jennifer Kapala, to document the action from the sidelines {sidelines being from beside the pool, in the water, and underwater}.

During the event, the spa was able to reach a potential combined social audience of +1.3m; +400 Instagram stories were shared, 66 static Instagram posts published, +76K likes on posts generated, and +3.5K comments on posts.
