Kymberley Hill is a writer, pr, and all-round brand storyteller – and the creative charge behind Paper Road.

Fiercely passionate about her craft, strategic, with a sharp attention-to-detail - and an ability to match creative comms + content solutions to a whole host of business objectives - Kym is one of those big thinker, hands-on doer, types. A collaborator and natural relationship-builder, Kym thrives on working alongside creative minds and fellow creatives.

She now holds over 15 years’ industry experience working within the consumer sector, developing and executing local, national and international earned media campaigns and content marketing initiatives for brands on both sides of the Atlantic.

With a Masters' Degree in Public Relations for creds, Kym earned her pr stripes within the fast-paced PR agency world – across the pond in her native U.K.  Instantly attracted to the world of hotels, restaurant concepts, world-wide destinations and travel brands, Kym quickly carved out a career specialising in consumer travel + hospitality pr, which lead to an in-house position leading all PR strategy + media initiatives for a 38-property, multiple-brand, hotel group - based out of central London.

Next: enter a {life-changing} trip to Canada.  And from her new base, Kym had the privilege of continuing to build her industry experience and add to her little black book of media and travel industry contacts - representing the National Parks of Jasper and Banff in media roles within the Destination Marketing Organizations.

Then, came the idea to start Paper Road.

Understanding that companies of all sizes are seeking ways to stand out in a competitive space, connect to customers and build loyal brand fans, Kym was inspired to combine her pr + brand storytelling experience with her love of all-things travel and mountain life - and so Paper Road, a boutique comms agency, was born.

That was the winter of 2016. And Kym, now with a diverse portfolio of travel, wellness, adventure, and hospitality brands from across Western Canada to the company name, she’s still seeking to push boundaries, explore new comms territory, and keep her client brands front of mind.

She still loves nothing more than brainstorming new ideas, coming up with campaign concepts, and finding innovative ways to join the dots between brand and consumer - via content, the media, and standout brand experiences.

Kym is a marketing mentor of the Banff World Media Film Festival’s BANFF Spark Accelerator for Women in the Business of Media program, and has sat on the judging panel of the Travel Alberta ALTO Content Award for multiple years.

Kym recently added another feather to her entrepreneurial cap with the launch of Paper Road Co-Work Studio, a collaborative workspace based out of her downtown Banff office HQ.

When she’s not in the studio building strategic communications plans or writing content, you’ll find her doting on her baby daughter, Lilah (all the #proudmama vibes), trying to step-up her adventurer-status in and around the Rocky Mountains she calls home, listening to Bruce 'The Boss' Springsteen, reading the NY Times Travel sections, with her nose in an artsy coffee table book, or doodling with a calligraphy pen.

Just don’t ask her out for tea, she defies the English stereotype and adores espresso – and she’ll take it strong.
